My name is Tom Corbin. I am a native of Greenville, SC and I am proud to reside in one of the most beautiful parts of our state with my wife and twin boys. I am running for State House District 17.

At age 13 I started my own business going door to door in my neighborhood handing out business cards for lawn services. That was the beginning of my career as an entrepreneur. I continued to build my business throughout middle school and high school working after school, weekends, and summers. While working on a degree at Clemson University I would return home on weekends and work my landscaping business. By the time I graduated in 1987, I had established a successful landscaping and lawn care business that sustains me and my family today.

I am not a politician; I am a Conservative Christian businessman. But I don’t like where we are today and have decided to take a stand. Like many other families, my family has been affected by big government. I believe that it is time to bring accountability, transparency, financial responsibility, and limited government back to South Carolina.

I strongly believe that government should be financially responsible and have a balanced budget. As we have recently learned, when government overspends and borrows money to pay the bills there are long term consequences that hurt everyone. Government should be fiscally responsible during good times and bad.

After much prayer I realize that God is leading me to take a stand. I am asking for your prayers, your support and your vote. Please help me restore good representation to our district.

If elected I will honorably and faithfully serve our district.

Thank you,
